Third Thursday: Hand-Printing with Bonnie Ralston
November 21 @ 6:30 pm
FreeRSVP
No printer? No problem!
In this two-hour workshop led by Bonnie Ralston, Third Thursday attendees will explore a variety of hand-printing methods that don’t require specialized equipment—just their imagination! Attendees will mine the warehouse shelves for tools, printing surfaces, and inspiration. We advise you to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.
Bonnie Ralston explores themes of loss, growth, and transformation through process-driven sculpture and works on paper. Her sculptures are primarily made with clay, and often in combination with street-scavenged metal which she also uses in her corrosion-based prints. Careers in both graphic design and environmental education inform her process and subject matter. Ralston earned a BFA from Hartford Art School in West Hartford, CT, and an MS in Ecological Teaching & Learning from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA.
