Behind Burlesque: The Practice Beneath the Fabric with Darlinda Just Darlinda

Join Materials for the Arts for its latest Third Thursday programming featuring… 🥁🥁🥁 A burlesque workshop led by Darlinda Just Darlinda! At “Behind Burlesque: The Practice Beneath the Fabric,” attendees can expect a demonstration of burlesque basics using MFTA fabric that will then be practiced by Third Thursday participants. We encourage those who attend to arrive in comfortable attire that allows for free movement and dancing. This event will take place Thursday, September 19, from 6:30 — 8:30pm at the Materials for the Arts warehouse.

The Village Voice calls Darlinda Just Darlinda a “Mastermind of Bizarre Extravaganza,” she’s an internationally known burlesque performer, performance artist, and actress. Darlinda is a faculty member at the New York School of Burlesque, has Lectured at Yale’s Sex Week and also teaches internationally.
