Join MFTA online for a workshop with Donald Layne, a Bronx-based artist and carpenter who makes handmade bags from leather and found materials. For our Third Thursday workshop, Layne will show you the tools to create your very own custom-made handbag. MFTA Director of Education John Cloud Kaiser will interview Layne about his creative process, how he began crafting handbags, and his work with young designers in the Bronx. This presentation will premiere on YouTube at 7:00pm, where attendees can chat live during the event.This Third Thursday presentation is pre-recorded.
