Instagram Live Tour of “Re-Education” by Henrike Naumann

Join us on Tuesday, September 27 at 2:00pm EST for an Instagram LIVE tour of artist Henrike Naumann’s exhibition Re-Education on view at SculptureCenter. While creating the exhibition’s works, Naumann made several trips to Materials for the Arts for supplies and inspiration.
Through installations of furniture and found objects, Naumann examines ideas of consumerism, socioeconomic discontent, and antagonistic political powers influenced by her time growing up in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) and then a unified Germany. Join the artist for a tour of her artwork functioning as a case study of relationships between design and ideology.
This tour will be hosted live on Materials for the Arts’ Instagram.
