MFTA Third Thursday
Thursday, June 17, 7-8pm
Join us live this Music Month for a creative reuse instrument-making workshop with musician and MFTA Teaching Artist, Louie Miranda. Through MFTA’s education programs, Miranda teaches students and educators how to use music and sound as a tool for learning and ways to create musical instruments from commonly found objects. During this event, you’ll learn how to transform the items around your home into unique music-makers.
MFTA is pleased to present this event in partnership with the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, as a part of the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment’s New York Music Month Extended Play. Attendees may take part in the event, which will be live-streamed to YouTube by submitting questions in the chat for Louie Miranda during the event.
*To submit questions during the event, use the chat feature on YouTube. You must log in to your YouTube account to use the chat and download the YouTube app for mobile use. Visit the YouTube sign-in page to create a YouTube login.
