Skip LaPlante’s Windchimes at Flushing Town Hall
Performance April 5, Art Auction April 14, 2019
A celebration of composer, instrument-builder extraordinaire Skip LaPlante, in this first-ever retrospective of Skip’s collection of hand-built wind chimes created from “stuff nobody else wanted.” Many of these wind chimes were created at Flushing Town Hall as part of his EtM/Con Edison Composer-in-Residence project.
As a tribute to the vibrant Queens Arts community that has supported him over the years, Skip has selected four organizations to benefit from the proceeds: Flushing Town Hall, Exploring the Metropolis, Outpost Artist Resources, and Materials for the Arts.
